1. General Information
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the online shop of Vera Jochum.
The online shop offers books and selected original works on paper. Larger original paintings on canvas are not available for direct online purchase. They can be requested by email and are purchased through individual communication.

2. Products
All original works of art offered in the shop are unique original artworks created by Vera Jochum.
The books offered in the shop are published editions as described in the respective product information.
Due to individual screen settings, colours shown on screen may differ slightly from the actual colours of an artwork. Such differences caused solely by screen display do not constitute a defect.
The photographs and descriptions of the artworks are intended to provide an accurate representation of the products.
3. Prices
All prices shown on this website are final prices in euros.
As a small business under § 19 UStG (German VAT Act), no VAT is charged or separately shown.
Any applicable shipping costs are stated separately and are shown before the order is placed.
4. Ordering and Contract Formation
By placing an order through the online shop, the customer makes a binding offer to purchase the selected product.
The contract is concluded when Vera Jochum accepts the order by confirming the order by email.
After placing an order, the customer receives an order confirmation by email.
Vera Jochum reserves the right not to accept an order in exceptional cases, for example if an item is no longer available. If payment has already been received, the amount will be refunded without undue delay.
5. Payment
The payment methods available for the respective order are displayed during the ordering process.
Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods offered in the online shop.
6. Shipping and Delivery
Orders are shipped from Germany.
Shipping costs and available delivery options are displayed during the ordering process before the order is placed.
The estimated delivery time is stated in the respective product information or during the ordering process.
If an ordered item is temporarily unavailable, the customer will be informed as soon as possible.
The statutory provisions regarding delivery and the transfer of risk remain unaffected.
7. Right of Withdrawal
Consumers generally have a statutory right of withdrawal for purchases made through the online shop.
The withdrawal period for goods is generally 14 days from the day on which the customer, or a third party designated by the customer, receives the goods.
The customer is not required to give a reason for exercising the right of withdrawal.
The statutory exceptions to the right of withdrawal remain unaffected. In particular, the right of withdrawal may not apply to goods that are made to the customer's specifications or are clearly personalised, where the statutory requirements for this exception are met.
8. Statutory Legal Guarantee
All goods sold through the online shop are subject to the statutory legal guarantee of conformity applicable to consumer purchases.
The statutory rights in the event of defective goods apply independently of any voluntary commercial guarantee.
Vera Jochum does not provide any additional commercial guarantee of durability unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular product.
9. Complaints and Defective Goods
If a product arrives damaged or appears to have a defect, the customer should contact Vera Jochum as soon as reasonably possible and provide a description of the issue and, where appropriate, photographs.
This does not limit any statutory rights of the customer.
10. Copyright
All artworks, photographs, texts and other content published on this website are protected by copyright.
The purchase of an original artwork does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights to the purchaser.
The purchaser acquires ownership of the physical artwork only. Any reproduction, commercial use or other exploitation of the artwork requires the permission of the copyright holder, unless permitted by law.
11. Larger Paintings and Individual Enquiries
Original paintings on canvas presented on this website are generally offered for viewing and enquiry rather than direct online purchase.
If a customer is interested in purchasing such a work, the purchase is arranged individually by email.
These individual enquiries are not subject to the online shop ordering process described above.
For commissioned or individually created artworks, specific contractual terms will be agreed separately before production begins.
12. Liability
Vera Jochum is liable in accordance with the applicable statutory provisions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.
13. Applicable Law
German law applies, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions that may apply in the country in which the consumer has their habitual residence.
